Spencer Wyld is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Central Arkansas. He obtained his PhD in Finance at the University of Arkansas. He previously obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Economics and Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Finance at Louisiana Tech University.

Spencer's main areas of research interest are retail trading, microstructure, news, gambling, and behavioral finance. His research has been presented at conferences such as the FMA and SFA.

Spencer's teaching interests include financial modeling, investments, corporate finance, and financial statement analysis.

Prior to his academic career, Spencer worked in the consumer product and toy industries as an accountant.
